Warranty Coverage Overview

Wayne Stover Paints provides limited warranty coverage for all custom auto painting services performed at our facility located at 831 Miniweb Ave, Riverton, WY. This warranty represents our commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Standard Warranty Coverage

All custom paint jobs completed by Wayne Stover Paints come with our standard warranty coverage:

  • Duration: 3-year limited warranty from the date of service completion
  • Coverage: Defects in materials and workmanship including paint adhesion failure, cracking, peeling, and excessive fading under normal use conditions

Premium Warranty Coverage

Our premium paint packages include enhanced warranty protection:

  • Duration: 5-year limited warranty from the date of service completion
  • Coverage: All standard warranty protections plus coverage for minor environmental damage and enhanced color retention

Specialty Finishes

Custom specialty finishes such as candy colors, metal flake, and other custom effects carry specific warranty terms:

  • Duration: 2-year limited warranty from the date of service completion
  • Coverage: Adhesion and application defects only

Clear Coat Protection

Premium clear coat applications receive:

  • Duration: 4-year limited warranty from the date of service completion
  • Coverage: Protection against cracking, peeling, and hazing under normal conditions

Warranty Limitations and Exclusions

While we stand behind our work, certain conditions and circumstances are not covered under our warranty. Understanding these limitations helps ensure proper care and maintenance of your custom paint job.

The Following Are Not Covered Under Warranty:

  • Damage resulting from accidents, collisions, or impacts
  • Damage from road debris, stone chips, or gravel
  • Scratches, scuffs, or abrasions occurring after delivery
  • Chemical damage from acid rain, bird droppings, tree sap, or industrial fallout
  • Damage from improper cleaning methods or materials
  • Fading or oxidation resulting from excessive sun exposure or environmental conditions
  • Damage from modifications or repairs performed by unauthorized parties
  • Normal wear and tear expected with vehicle use
  • Pre-existing conditions in the vehicle's body or previous paint layers
  • Rust or corrosion originating from beneath the painted surface
  • Damage resulting from failure to follow recommended care instructions

Additional Limitations:

The warranty is valid only for the original customer and is not transferable to subsequent vehicle owners. Any modifications to the painted surface not performed by Wayne Stover Paints will void the warranty. The warranty applies only to services fully paid for according to our payment terms.

Proper Care and Maintenance

To maintain warranty coverage and ensure the longevity of your custom paint job, we recommend the following care practices:

Recommended Maintenance:

  • Wait at least 30 days after painting before waxing or polishing
  • Hand wash your vehicle using pH-balanced automotive soap
  • Avoid automatic car washes with abrasive brushes
  • Regularly apply quality automotive wax (every 3-4 months)
  • Store vehicle in a garage or use a high-quality car cover when possible
  • Promptly clean off potentially damaging substances (bird droppings, tree sap, gasoline, etc.)
  • Avoid parking under trees for extended periods
  • Schedule annual paint inspection and maintenance with our facility

Following these guidelines will help preserve the quality and appearance of your custom paint job and maintain warranty coverage.

Warranty Claim Procedure

If you believe your custom paint job has developed an issue covered under our warranty, please follow these steps to initiate a warranty claim:

  2. Schedule an Inspection: Bring your vehicle to our facility at 831 Miniweb Ave, Riverton, WY for a professional evaluation of the reported issue.

  4. Evaluation: Our technical team will assess whether the issue falls under warranty coverage based on our policy terms and the condition of the paint.
  5. Resolution: If the claim is approved, we will schedule the necessary repairs at no cost to you. If the claim is denied, we will provide a detailed explanation and offer options for addressing the issue.

Remedies Under Warranty:

For valid warranty claims, Wayne Stover Paints will, at our discretion, either:

  • Repair the defective area
  • Repaint the affected panel(s)
  • Provide a partial refund in exceptional circumstances

The remedy will be determined based on the nature and extent of the issue, with our primary goal being to restore the paint job to its proper condition.
